PRP Regenerative Medicine

The benefits of this Natural treatment lie in the process of removing a precise amount of the patient’s own blood and concentrating the platelets, creating a supra-physiologic concentration of platelets that are then preciously injected to improve functioning dependent upon the patient’s condition.
In the body, platelets are blood cells that help your body form clots to stop bleeding. If an injury occurs to a blood vessel, the platelets migrate to the site of damage and form a plug (clot).

ARE REGENERATIVE JOINT INJECTIONS SAFE?

Yes, regenerative joint injections are very safe when performed by a trained regenerative joint doctor. Sterile procedures are always practiced and each patient’s condition is unique and individualized.

IS THIS THE SAME AS CORTISONE INJECTIONS?

NO, NO NO. Cortisone is a steroid and stops the inflammatory process and prevents tissue healing. Cortisone is not part of the regenerative joint injection procedure.

DOES REGENERATIVE JOINT INJECTIONS HURT?

Dependent upon each patient and their individual condition, the amount of discomfort varies. A skin refrigerant may be used to “numb” the skin.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

The number of treatments will depend upon the severity of the problem and their unique condition. Most PRP conditions require 4 treatments (1 Prolotherapy and 3 PRP).
